Welcome to Molyneux Turf Incorporated (MTI)! We are a team dedicated to building an exciting new full sized multi-purpose turf in Alexandra, designed to serve our community for many years to come. With the support of the local council and a strong partnership with Dunstan High School, this legacy project aims foster community engagement and provide a facility for various sports and community groups. We can't wait to turn this dream into a reality and make a lasting impact for future generations.
OUR VISION

We believe that sporting and recreational opportunities are an essential part of keeping young people engaged in education, keeping them local with reduced travel, and in developing holistic life skills, teamwork and healthy lifestyles.
The proposed development of a multi-purpose artificial surface at Dunstan High School is one part of helping realise this broader community aspiration, and is an investment in both our local school and in the accessibility of sporting and recreation opportunities, for our young people and the wider community.
Our role is to facilitate partnerships and help generate momentum to achieve the vision of creating a busy, vibrant and sustainable, artificial surface in Alexandra, for hockey, local schools, other sports and the wider community.”
FUNDING
To get this project across the line and turn this vision into reality, MTI is actively seeking support from local businesses. We are exploring various avenues for collaboration, including initial donations, annual sponsorships, signage agreements, and discounted rates for construction services. Securing reduced costs for construction, drainage installation, electrical work, planning, or groundwork from local contractors will be highly beneficial for the project.
By contributing, every business will play a crucial role in the success of this project while showcasing their expertise and commitment to the community. This support will help us secure additional funding by demonstrating community involvement and reducing overall project costs.
The new facility will accommodate a variety of activities and groups throughout the year, with the potential to host tournaments such as secondary school hockey. With the ability to host events like these, the facility will bring additional revenue to the community, benefiting supermarkets, shops, cafes, and more, and the increased foot traffic means your advertising will reach a broader audience— making this an excellent opportunity to promote your business.
PARTNERSHIPS
Molyneux Turf Incorporated (MTI) have established a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) creating a partnership between Dunstan High School and MTI, to work in collaboration with the Central Otago District Council for the development, maintenance, and shared use of a sports turf facility at Dunstan High School. This facility will serve the needs of both the school’s sports programs and the wider community, promoting health, fitness, and community engagement.
MTI is currently developing a robust business model to guide the successful execution of this project. We are also pursuing additional funding opportunities and grants after securing support from local contractors.
